Collection Rules

You have the ability to establish rules that automatically trigger a collection event based on specific criteria, such as the number of page views and/or the duration of time spent on a page. By configuring these parameters, you can effectively target and gather higher-level contacts who show genuine interest in your content. This functionality ensures that you’re collecting data from users who are more likely to engage with your brand, enhancing the quality of your contact list. 

To set up the rules click on the suppressions on the left navigation and then select the collection rules.

By default, the value for page views is set to 1, meaning that a collection event will trigger after a visitor view just one page. However, you have the flexibility to modify this setting according to your specific needs. For instance, if you wish to collect the contact information of visitors who have engaged more deeply by viewing at least 3 pages during their session, you can easily adjust the value to 3. This customization allows you to capture more meaningful leads based on user behavior. 

Similarly, the default time setting is 0 seconds, indicating that no minimum duration is required for a collection event to occur. If your goal is to gather contacts from visitors who remain on your website for a certain period—say, 30 seconds—you can adjust this value accordingly. By setting the time to 30 seconds, you ensure that only those visitors who demonstrate a genuine interest in your content are included in your contact collection efforts. This level of customization helps you refine your audience and focus on the most engaged visitors, enhancing the quality of your leads.
